This program, which was started in 2015 by Charleston Division’s Office of Health Promotion, just celebrated 10 years and has been a vital component of MUSC’s effort to combat food insecurity in the state.[more]

  • Compass One Healthcare Launches Fourth Annual Socktober

    Compass One Healthcare has kicked off its annual “Socktober” campaign. Started in 2020, this yearly voluntary campaign across Compass One’s branded sectors – Morrison Healthcare, Crothall Healthcare, CCL Hospitality Group, and TouchPoint Support Services – invites teams from hospital and health systems and senior living communities across the country to collect socks for donation to local charities.

    Imagine being able to walk into a store, grab the items you want, and walk out — without ever interacting with a cashier.

    Well now doctors, nurses, and guests at Prisma Health’s Richland campus can do just that.

    Located inside Prisma Health Children’s Hospital (at 7 Richland Medical Park Drive in Columbia), and powered by Amazon’s “Just Walk Out” technology, the new store will offer convenient 24-hour access to ready-to-eat, healthy, food choices. [more]
